Summer Contest 2010
Contest Theme: "Water"
Form: Any form, rhymed or unrhymed
Contest Deadline: May 15, 2010 (postmark)
Winning entries will be published in the Summer 2010 issue.
Rules:
- Anyone may enter.
- There is a 24-line limit per poem. Submit one to four unpublished poems.
- Submit poetry that focuses on water in any form (e.g. but not limited to, ice, rivers, drinking water), as the central image or idea of the poem.
- Include your name and address ONLY on the back of each poem, with one poem per page.
- Only one prize will be awarded per poet. Please enclose a SASE if you wish to see the winner’s list. All non-winning poems will be discarded.
- Please send poems by regular mail only. Entries by e-mail will NOT be accepted.
FEES: $2.00 per poem. If you submit at least TWO entries
you will receive a free issue of TOS, Vol. 37, No. 2.
The judge's decisions are final. Any poems not conforming to the rules will be disqualified. Entry fees will not be returned.
(Canadian poets: I’m sorry, but bank fees make it prohibitive to cash checks, even in US funds. Please send US cash. Thanks for your cooperation.)

Form: six-line, rhymed poems
Contest Deadline: November 1, 2010 (postmark)
Winning entries will be published in the Winter 2010 issue.
Rules:
- Anyone may enter.
- Submit poetry of six lines with any rhyming pattern. The goal is to test your ability to be concise using fresh rhyme.
- Include your name and address ONLY on the back of each poem, with one poem per page.
- Only one prize will be awarded per poet. Please enclose a SASE if you wish to see the winner’s list. All non-winning poems will be discarded.
- Please send poems by regular mail only. Entries by e-mail will NOT be accepted.
FEES: $2.00 per poem. If you submit at least THREE entries you will receive a free issue of TOS, Vol. 37, No. 3.
